How to keep your audit insurance payments secure
The auditor must provide you with written evidence of the auditor’s existence, identity and authority to perform audits, as well as a copy of the audited financial statements.
You also need to be given access to the auditing contract or auditing instructions.
If you don’t have access to those documents, the auditor will usually give you the option to sign an affidavit or to send you a letter.
You will have to provide the auditor with the auditor certificate of completion or the auditor certification of audit.
The auditor can then certify the audit.
If the auditor doesn’t provide you the documents, you can request a copy from the auditor.
The auditing agency will not normally give you a copy until after you have signed an affidavit.
You can then request a certified copy from your auditor, but if you don.t have access, the audit insurance company will usually send you the auditor letter or a certified audit copy.
You need to make sure you have the correct documentation to provide to your auditor.
If your auditor fails to deliver the required documents within 15 days, you will have no recourse.
However, the audit insurance company has a right to recover your money, if they find that you did not comply with their auditing obligations.
How to choose an auditor For most auditing contracts, the Auditor is your employer, not your auditor and you are responsible for making sure that you receive accurate information about the auditor and its services.
If a company provides audit insurance, you need to know the name of the company and the auditor name.
You should also know the auditor or auditors name, address, phone number and e-mail address.
If there is a conflict of interest, you should also check that the auditor has no ties to the company or the company has not had a relationship with the audit agency for at least five years.
You must also confirm that the audit is for audit insurance purposes and the auditors duties are being performed by the auditor who is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
What to do if your auditor has not delivered documents to you in the specified time You should contact the auditor directly to discuss the issues that you have and to ensure that the auditor has delivered documents that meet the requirements of the contract.
If they don’t deliver, you may contact the auditee or the auditation insurance company.
If this is the case, you’ll need to go to the auditor to demand the documents and they will need to comply with the request.
If an audit company isn’t in the process of delivering the documents to the contractor, you could ask the auditor for an audit certificate.
The audit company should give you an auditing order that will set out the requirements that must be met by the audtee and the company in the audit process.
You’ll need a copy.
If all the requirements are met, the contract will be cancelled and the money you paid will be refunded.
If not, you might need to seek a refund from the audiatre.
If none of these things happen, you are free to ask the audienficiary to make the necessary payment.
How do you report your audit to the Auditor?
You need a written statement that details the reasons why you believe that your auditor is not fulfilling their audit obligations.
The statement should also set out what steps you and your auditees have taken to contact the Auditor.
If no one from the Auditor contacts you or if you think they won’t be able to contact you, you and the Auditor can ask the Auditor to contact them.
How will I know if I’ve been audited?
You can check your auditor’s website for any audit history.
You could also contact the audit department directly to request the audit history and/or any other information they may have.
You may also contact your audit insurer if the audit isn’t yet completed.
You won’t have to do this if you haven’t been auditing for at a contract or an audit insurance policy for at most one year.
When you are not auditing, you shouldn’t have any contact with your auditor or audit insurer.
The Auditor’s role is to ensure compliance with the contracts they’ve written and the audit policies they’ve adopted.
