BBC shows new auditions for new sitcoms
From BBC America to Netflix, there are more than a dozen new audios to be seen in 2018.
Here’s a rundown of the ones that will be premiering this week, starting with BBC America’s Auditions for a New Show, premiering Monday, October 14.
The new sitcom will star Landon Jones as a young man whose parents divorced and his mother dies in an auto accident.
He is raised by his father, a man named Bob, who runs a small auto shop.
He also has a daughter named Sarah.
Jones and Sarah will star as two of the main characters in the series, which is being written by Amy Waddell and Mark Gatiss.
The series, produced by the BBC in association with Twentieth Century Fox Television and produced by Twentysix Productions, will premiere exclusively on BBC America.
The show will be produced by Waddells daughter-in-law, Jodie M. Williams, who also wrote and directed the upcoming series of the British comedy series The National.
The BBC America version will be based on the hit BBC America sitcom The National, which ran from 2003 to 2007.
The National is set in a fictional London where people have moved into a new neighbourhood.
This new area is called New South Wales.
It is the only part of the world that is left untouched by global warming, the BBC has said.
The British version of the series has won two Emmys and is one of the most successful BBC shows of all time.
The New Zealand version of The National also won a Peabody Award in 2007.
