Gay porn auditors find ‘significant’ flaws in audit logs
By The Associated Press Staff WriterPosted Mar 08, 2018 04:55:25A number of gay porn auditing firms are struggling to keep up with the demand for new auditing reports.
Many have reported problems with the audit log that records the identities of performers, reviewers and other performers for the auditing service.
Some have also found problems with what the auditors are supposed to do with the audit log.
A number of auditors at some companies are asking for the logs to be destroyed.
“The audit log is a vital piece of the audit process,” said Mark Schulz, who founded a company called Audit Log and manages several other auditing companies.
“The audit logs are a great tool for all of us, but there are a lot of problems with them.”
Schulz said some auditors have filed reports with the state of Michigan saying the log should be destroyed because it was incomplete.
He said auditors in other states have told him the logs are being used for sexual abuse investigations.
“We have to keep a close eye on what we’re doing,” he said.
Audit log violations have been a hot topic of conversation at the state’s auditing task force.
Michigan’s auditor, Steve Womack, has said that the log is used for an investigation of sexual assault allegations, but he hasn’t released any details on what happened.
